“From Oppression to Healing: Rewriting Colonial Narratives for Mental Health Empowerment.”

This conference seeks interactive and practice-oriented sessions that explore transformative approaches to dismantle colonial legacies and promote culturally responsive healing. Proposals should align with one or more of the following learning objectives:

  • Apply Decolonizing Frameworks by integrating culturally grounded and Indigenous approaches.
  • Address Intergenerational and Racial Trauma through strategies for healing and resilience.
  • Utilize Narrative Transformation Techniques such as storytelling and narrative therapy.
  • Advocate for Structural and Policy Change to advance equity in mental health systems.
